Sadolin Focus Fencing Woodstain was specified along the A6 Corridor in Manchester. This ongoing improvement programme involves painting the peripheral fencing and gates alongside this key arterial route from Stockport to Manchester. Manchester City Council has responsibility for the scheme which, due to its size is split into eight phases over five years. The decision was made to brighten up the fencing along this stretch of road using contrasting colours from the Sadolin range.

Long-lasting colour

The rolling programme to improve the housing stock within the area, including the peripheral fencing was begun in 2000 and the use of colour was an important factor.

“We wanted a product that would protect the timber fencing but which would not fade and become dull after a few years,” comments a spokesman from Manchester city Council. The specification led to Sadolin Focus Fencing Woodstain as the most suitable option for the project which is on target for completion in 2005.

The Sadolin Solution

Sadolin Focus Fencing Woodstain was supplied in Brown Chestnut and Maple for the main fencing and Green Ponderosa Pine and Deep Blue for the gates to visually break up the monotony of such a long expanse of timber and metal. Sadolin Focus Fencing Woodstain provides optimum protection and durability with superb colour retention and superior performance that leads to extended maintenance cycles.

Excellent water repellency is achieved from the products high wax content and is available in four wood tones and six tinted colours for added choice to the specifier. Additional colours may also be tinted by special order to meet the needs of specific colour schemes.
